New JCrew Catalog

I received the new JCrew catalog in the mail yesterday and I have to say I was uber disappointed to see a lack of argyle this year :( I was hoping they'd have at least one argyle sweater I could put on my Christmas list. The fashion industry's open arms to plaid this year more than make up for the lack of argyle. I'm fairly certain my Mom bought out all the ladies plaid button up shirts at American Eagle Outfitters- for which she will receive my undying gratitude.

Other than a number of beautiful cashmere cardigans I can't afford, they also featured three new wedding dresses! Okay, so I am no where near getting married, but I figure a lady is allowed to drool.

I think the last one is much more beautiful as a ball/gala gown than a wedding gown. That said, the right chick can pull off any gown as a wedding dress. And here are my three favorite for the fall season:

Although I'm anything but a girlie girl, I absolutely love wedding dresses. JCrew has the classiest, most tasteful yet elegant wedding dresses I've ever seen.

On a less frilly note, Borderlands came out yesterday and was pretty darn fun to play. The dancing robot is pretty cool and the music rates a B+, but only b/c I was hoping for a little more of it. The dude that came up with the trailer for the game needs to be paid a ton of money b/c it rocked (probably a little harder than the game actually does, but that's okay). I find myself plowing forward and blowing shit up a lot more than I do when I play Left 4 Dead. When zombies are involved, I make The Boyfriend take point and I just sniper shoot from the background. Btw, I really can't wait until Left 4 Dead 2 comes out! It might even be an occasion to leave work early.
