Holiday Cards

Okay, I think we're far enough into November that I can say "Christmas Cards" without getting the stink eye. I need advice from any of the three people that read my blog ;) Due in part to our lovely economy and in part to the lack of pay given to the state employees of AZ, I had a goal this Christmas to be as thrifty as possible in my holiday spending. I absolutely love buying people gifts and always spend way too much money b/c I get all caught up in the red and green Christmas lights. With thriftiness being my goal, I've had to be more creative in deciding what to give people for Christmas so it has been fun flexing my creative muscles. I need help on the Christmas card front though. There are a number of pretty Xmas cards at about 7 or 8$/pk with about 10-12 cards/pk. Target also has a number of cute cards at 8/pk for $1. That's right, ONE DOLLAR- and they aren't cheap and ugly. They don't exactly pop either, but they really don't suck. I've got *30* cards to send out (yeah, I have no idea how I know all these people either) and I have to consider the cost of the freaking stamps in the mix too. So cheapest set of cards with stamps at $18.20 or the pricier cards at $37.20. Do I go for the glam or for the less glitzy but non-sucky cheaper cards?

I'd go for the cheap cards and if none of them are perfect, you can always get out your crafty supplies and make them a little more personal ;)

good luck!

(I can't wait for christmas either. It's my favorite!)
